Ceramics- Raku Works

A collection of my Raku works

Raku is a Japanese pottery technique where pieces are quickly fired, removed hot, and placed in combustible materials, creating unique textures and crackles.

All about embodying imperfection, spontaneity, and naturalness.

The varied textures come from traces left by organic materials (horsehair, coffee grounds, feathers), metallic velvet-like glazes, crackle patterns, wood ash, and those smoky marks.

Gratitude for the pieces that survived, those that exploded, and the ones with cracks that I smashed after firing.
